Life motivation

 The real motivational story

"On February 11, 2023, I went to my village with my parents. We had planned to have a picnic under a banyan tree, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We had prepared food at home, including bajra bhakri, vatana bhaji, batata rassa, besan poli, and chapatibhaji for the kids. We reached the spot around 1 pm and found many people had already gathered there, not just for the picnic but also to visit the famous Mahadev temple in our village. It was a special day, Mahashivratri, and many devotees had come to seek blessings.

We spread a mat on the ground, opened our lunch boxes, and started eating. That's when an old woman, about 4 feet tall, with a simple white sari and a black sweater, approached us. She had a small bag in her hand and seemed to be carrying some food. I offered her a bhakri, vatana usal, and a bhaji, but she put them in her bag and sat down next to us. She started talking to herself, saying, "Mahadev will take care of everyone, he will take care of you too." She seemed a bit crazy, but my mother started talking to her and found out that she was from our village.

The old woman told us that she had two brothers and a sister, but her parents had passed away when she was young. One brother lived in Mumbai, and the other in the village. She said she had no one to take care of her and had to fend for herself. When I asked if she had gotten married, she said yes, but her husband had left her just ten days after the wedding and never returned. She had to come back to her father's house and live with her brother and sister. She said she had been living off the charity of others ever since.

It was a poignant moment, and we realized that even in our own village, there are people struggling to survive. We offered her some food and water, and she left after a while, but her story stayed with us."

She told,When I was 13 years old, my father got me married. Ten days after the wedding, my husband left home and never returned. I waited for him for a month at my in-laws' house, but he didn't come back. Since my in-laws were poor, I couldn't stay with them forever. So, I returned to my father's house.

After a few days, my father passed away. I had a brother who got married and moved to Mumbai for work. He never returned to our village.

After my father's death, my sister's behavior became abnormal. She lost her senses and couldn't understand anything. My sister and I started working as laborers, cleaning roads and cutting trees, to earn a living.

Some days later, my sister passed away, leaving me alone. I moved to a small card-house near my relatives and lived there. As I grew older, it became difficult to work, so I would sit at the Mahadev temple all day.

I learned to survive from Lord Mahadev. Despite all the struggles, he never made me sleep hungry. With that, the old woman finished speaking and left. Her story taught me a lesson - despite facing immense struggles, she was content with her life. She had no expectations and was grateful for what she had.

Her life taught me that we only live once, and we must make the most of it and enjoy it fully.
